This project was awarded the Minister of Science and ICT Grand Prize at the 2024 DPG AI Hackathon, officially recognizing its innovation and public value.
Powered by the Google Gemini API and Web Speech API, it allows users to freely explore and operate websites using simple voice commands without needing to master complex mouse and interface controls.
Through voice-based web navigation, the assistant understands and processes natural language commands, automates form filling, and simplifies complex UI elements to deliver an intuitive user experience.
It provides context-aware intelligent responses to assist users with essential tasks such as reservations, applications, and information searches across various websites and public services.
Built with a Python and Flask backend on Cloud Run and a responsive JavaScript frontend, the platform ensures high reliability, scalability, and seamless performance.
Beyond mere technical implementation, it aims to empower digitally marginalized groups by providing equal access to web services, thereby realizing digital inclusion and public service equity.
Future plans include expanding support for more websites, introducing multilingual capabilities, and extending the service to other underserved groups such as the visually impaired.
By integrating with public institutional services, AI Comssem strives to create an environment where seniors and vulnerable populations can enjoy a convenient digital lifestyle without exclusion.

However, subscription models linked with senior welfare centers need further refinement to diversify income. 2. 📉 Cost Reduction (23/30): The solution significantly reduces manual support efforts from call center agents and offline welfare workers assisting seniors with complex online procedures, achieving around 350 million won in annual labor cost savings. Additional cost-reduction strategies, such as fine-tuning lightweight models, are necessary to optimize API call expenses. 3. ⚡ 10x Productivity (22/30): By transforming cumbersome multi-step web navigation into a single voice command, it reduces task completion time by over 85 percent for elderly users. While the NLP pipeline combining Web Speech API and Google Gemini API delivers intuitive UX, upgrading visual agent capabilities to adapt to dynamic UI changes is required. 4. 🔍 Search & AI Optimization (8/10): Keywords like digital inclusion, seniors, and Gemini, alongside its Ministry award history, are well integrated into the metadata and content, securing high visibility in search engines and AI answer engines.
